In this role as a Data Cabling and AV Installation Engineer within our dynamic organization, you will be responsible for designing, installing, testing, and maintaining network infrastructure cabling systems, as well as audio-visual equipment.

• Designing and planning of structured cabling networks, including fiber optics, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7, and Coaxial cable systems for data, voice, video, and security applications.
• Installing and terminating network cables in compliance with industry standards and the organization's policies and procedures.
• Conducting tests to ensure proper functionality of cabling systems and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
• Performing preventive maintenance on network infrastructure equipment and implementing best practices for cable management.
• Collaborating with IT teams to understand business requirements, and designing solutions that meet the organization's needs.
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting audio-visual (AV) systems, such as video conferencing equipment, projectors, and displays.
• Maintaining documentation of work completed, including network diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment inventories.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies in data cabling and AV installations to continuously improve the organization's infrastructure.
• Proven experience as a Data Cabling or AV Installation Engineer or similar role.
• Familiarity with industry standards, such as TIA/EIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801, and BICSI.
• Knowledge of cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7, fiber optics) and AV equipment installation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently when necessary.
• Certifications such as Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT), or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the North West region as required.
