Key Responsibilities:

• Database Management: Regularly monitor and maintain all aspects of the database environment, including backups, patches, and updates.
• Performance Optimisation: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal operation of the database system.
• Security Administration: Implement and manage security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers to integrate databases into applications, provide technical guidance, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime in the event of unforeseen circumstances. To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, or MSSQL Server.
• Familiarity with data modelling, indexing, performance tuning, and replication.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
