Job Role
In the dynamic and ethically-driven landscape of our organisation we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Governance & Oversight Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the alignment of our actions with our values, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering an environment of good governance and ethical conduct.
*Responsibilities: *
- Develop and implement effective governance policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated to meet changing organisational needs.
- Provide expert advice on governance matters, ensuring that the board and senior management have the necessary information and support to make informed decisions.
- Conduct risk assessments and oversight activities to identify potential issues and implement controls to mitigate them.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to understand their expectations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Compliance and Risk team to ensure that governance processes align with risk management strategies and objectives.
- Support the Board of Directors and its committees in discharging their duties effectively, including preparation of board papers, minutes, and reports.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of changes in laws, regulations, standards, and best practices related to governance and oversight, and advise the organisation accordingly.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of governance arrangements and make recommendations for improvement.

*Qualifications: *
- Proven experience in a governance role within a regulated industry.
