Group Business Continuity Manager | Job in Derbyshire
In this critical role as the Group Business Continuity Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business continuity management (BCM) strategies across our organisation. You will report to the Chief Risk Officer, working closely with a variety of key stakeholders within the organisation, as well as external advisors where necessary.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the BCM program, ensuring it remains relevant, effective, and up-to-date in response to changes within our organisation and wider industry.
- Oversee the business impact analysis (BIA) process, identifying critical functions, systems, and assets, and determining their potential impact on the overall operations of the organisation in the event of a disruption.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of BCM plans for each major function within the organisation, ensuring they are clearly documented, easily accessible, and regularly tested to ensure effectiveness.
- Act as the main point of contact during incidents or emergencies, coordinating the response, recovery, and resumption of normal operations in accordance with established procedures.
- Develop and facilitate training programs for all staff members on BCM principles, plans, and procedures, ensuring a strong understanding and preparedness across the organisation.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to identify potential risks and threats, and develop strategies to mitigate them proactively, thereby minimising disruptions and maintaining business continuity.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that technology infrastructure is resilient, secure, and aligned with the BCM strategy.
- Monitor and review the performance of the BCM program, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes where necessary to enhance its effectiveness.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with relevant business continuity regulations and standards.
- Ensure the organisation is adequately insured against potential disruptions and that insurance policies are regularly reviewed to ensure coverage remains appropriate and up-to-date.
