As a HGV Trailer Technician, you will be integral to our team ensuring the efficient operation of our fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate must possess: Professional Qualifications:

• A Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Heavy Vehicle) qualification or equivalent, preferably with a focus on trailer technology.
• Valid Driver's License, preferably a Category C+E license to handle large goods vehicles.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in HGV trailers.
• Proficiency in the use of specialized tools, equipment, and software for trailer maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to HGV trailers, including periodic safety checks.

Practical Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.
• Physical fitness to handle heavy parts and perform maintenance tasks in potentially adverse working conditions.

*Responsibilities: *

• Carrying out comprehensive repairs, servicing, and maintenance on HGV trailers to ensure they are safe, reliable, and roadworthy at all times.
• Identifying potential issues during routine inspections and addressing them proactively to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintaining accurate records of service and repair work in line with company policies and industry standards.
• Liaising effectively with drivers and other team members to ensure efficient resolution of any vehicle-related problems.
• Participating in ongoing training programs to keep up-to-date with advancements in HGV trailer technology and repair techniques.
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to help improve operational efficiency across our fleet of trailers.

• Proven experience as an HGV Trailer Technician or similar role within the transport industry.
• City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualification.
• A strong understanding of HGV trailer systems, components, and diagnostic techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, perform physical tasks as needed, and work in a potentially noisy and dusty environment.
