We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our vibrant care home team in London. Plan, organize, and facilitate a diverse range of daily activities that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents
Collaborate with nursing and care staff to understand the needs and preferences of each resident
Organize special events such as themed parties, outings, and entertainment programs
Maintain activity records and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Liaise with external service providers to arrange activities off-site when required
Continuously seek ways to improve the quality and variety of activities offered
Facilitate hobbies and interests clubs, such as gardening, knitting, art, and exercise classes
Proven experience in a similar role within the care sector is essential
Excellent organizational and communication skills
A creative and adaptable approach to activity planning
A strong understanding of the needs and preferences of elderly residents
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required
A caring, empathetic nature with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents
Experience in working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one
