*About the Role *
As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centred care within the urgent care setting. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage undifferentiated patients across all ages. This role offers an excellent opportunity to extend your existing clinical skills and expertise in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
*Key Responsibilities *
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments using a holistic approach, making appropriate clinical decisions based on the findings.
- Diagnose and manage acute conditions autonomously and competently, ensuring timely access to secondary care when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, junior doctors, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Prescribe medications safely and appropriately within your competencies, following local guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in educational supervision of students and junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and skills to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and concise documentation in electronic patient records systems.
*Requirements *
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or General Medical Council (GMC).
- Master's degree or equivalent in Advanced Clinical Practice, Emergency Medicine, or a relevant specialism.
- Extensive post-registration experience in an acute care setting, preferably within an urgent care environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and make sound clinical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport quickly and empathise with patients.
- Demonstrable commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and bank holidays as part of our 24/7 service.
