Building Maintenance Technician (Carpenter) | Job in Merseyside

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance Technician with a strong carpentry background to join our team in the North West region. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

*Key Qualifications: *

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or Building Maintenance Technician: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.

• Strong technical skills: Ability to perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including repairing and maintaining buildings, installing fixtures and equipment, and constructing structures from wood, metal, or other materials.

• Hand tool proficiency: Expertise in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, planes, and drills is necessary. Familiarity with power tools is also desirable.

• Safety consciousness: A strong commitment to safety practices and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Problem-solving abilities: Capacity to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues, as well as develop creative solutions for complex problems.

• Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors in a clear, respectful manner.

• Physical fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical tasks required by the position.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation: Applicants must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel between job sites.

• Willingness to work flexible hours: The role may require working outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties as needed.

• Relevant certifications (if applicable): Possession of relevant certifications such as OSHA 30 or similar safety training is a plus.
