Chef Manager | Job in County Durham

We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Chef Manager to join our esteemed team at our flagship restaurant in the heart of Leeds. *Key Responsibilities: *

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with the management team in menu development, cost control, and staff training.
  • Lead a team of chefs, fostering a positive work environment that encourages creativity and continuous learning.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation at all times.
  • Work closely with the Front of House team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional events and special menu items.

*Qualifications: *

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef in a high-volume, fine dining establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of local food trends, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in food costing, menu planning, and inventory management.
  • A solid understanding of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in fast-paced environments.
  • Relevant certification such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery.
  • A passion for food and a commitment to continuously learning and growing professionally.
