In this exciting and rewarding role at our London-based educational institution, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Welsh speaker to join our team as a Classroom Welsh Speaker. This is an opportunity for you to share your language skills with the next generation, fostering a love of Welsh language and culture in our students.
Delivering Welsh language lessons to primary school students, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.
Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and the needs of each student.
Maintaining a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters language learning.
Participating in school events that celebrate Welsh language and culture.
Providing feedback and assessment on students' progress, working closely with teachers to support their development.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and resources for Welsh language education.
Contributing to the broader school community by sharing your knowledge of Welsh language and culture.
Native or near-native proficiency in the Welsh language is essential.
A degree in Welsh, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for Welsh language and culture.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
