Key Responsibilities

In this role as a Demi Chef de Partie within the East of England, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, reporting to the Chef de Partie and working closely with the Head Chef. The key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in the day-to-day running of a specific section of the kitchen during service. This includes but is not limited to starters, salads, sauces, fish and meat.

  • Prepare, cook and present dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.

  • Work efficiently during busy periods, ensuring all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within your section of the kitchen at all times. This includes adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining a high level of hygiene.

  • Assist with inventory management, ensuring stock levels are maintained and wastage is minimized.

  • Continuously learn and develop your culinary skills by attending training sessions, reading culinary literature, and experimenting with new dishes and cooking techniques.

  • Contribute to menu development and creation, offering suggestions for seasonal specials and other innovative ideas.

  • Mentor and guide junior kitchen staff, providing instruction and feedback to help them develop their skills.

  • Collaborate with the rest of the culinary team to ensure a smooth running of service.
