Job Responsibilities
As a Domestic Assistant (Bank), you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within our healthcare facilities in the West Midlands region. Your primary duties will include but are not limited to:
Cleaning: Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces in all areas of the facility including patient rooms, common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and corridors.
Linen Management: Ensure an adequate supply of clean linen is available at all times. Launder, iron, and deliver linens as required.
Waste Management: Collect, sort, and dispose of waste materials in accordance with local regulations and facility policies.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize medical equipment under the supervision of the Infection Prevention and Control team. Report any malfunctioning equipment for repair.
Patient Care Support: Assist with the care of patients, including making beds, changing bed linen, and ensuring patient rooms are kept tidy and comfortable.
Infection Prevention and Control: Follow established infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Stock Management: Restock cleaning supplies, linens, and other necessary items as required, ensuring that all areas have the resources they need to operate effectively.
Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with supervisors and colleagues regarding any issues or concerns related to your work. Report any maintenance needs promptly.
Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, use personal protective equipment as required, and follow safe handling procedures for chemicals and equipment.

As a Domestic Assistant Bank, you will work on an as-needed basis, with flexible working hours to suit both our operational requirements and your availability. This role primarily involves day shifts but may require occasional evening or weekend work.
