Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer | Job in Hertfordshire

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer to join our team based in the East of England. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who possesses exceptional technical abilities, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

*Responsibilities: *

  • Install, commission, maintain, and remove dual fuel smart meters in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering any questions or concerns about the installation and use of the smart meter.
  • Liaise with customers, other engineers, and the head office to ensure smooth installation processes and efficient resolution of any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of all installations, including completion certificates, customer sign-offs, and any necessary reports.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and our customers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to keep your skills up-to-date and maintain proficiency in using smart meter equipment.

*Requirements: *

  • Proven experience as a Smart Meter Engineer or similar role, preferably within the dual fuel sector.
  • In-depth understanding of smart meters, their installation, maintenance, and removal procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during installations.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using smart meter equipment and tools.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when necessary.
  • Strong health and safety awareness, with the ability to perform risk assessments and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and security clearance as required.
