Job Responsibilities

In this role as a Food & Beverage Assistant at our esteemed establishment located in Yorkshire and The Humber, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team providing exceptional service to our valued guests. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the following areas:

  • Customer Service: Deliver friendly, attentive, and efficient service to all guests. Greet guests warmly, answer questions about menu items and specials, and handle any concerns or complaints in a professional manner.

  • Food & Beverage Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food and beverages as ordered by guests. This may include plating dishes, garnishing, setting tables, and cleaning glassware and silverware. Ensure all food and drinks meet high standards for quality and presentation.

  • Stock Management: Help maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies. Report any discrepancies or shortages to the Food & Beverage Manager promptly.

  • Cleanliness & Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, bar areas, and service stations at all times. This includes cleaning tables, chairs, bars, glassware, and other equipment as needed. Ensure that workstations are organized and sanitized regularly to maintain a high level of hygiene.

  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team to provide seamless service to guests. Assist in busy periods, covering for colleagues when necessary, and help with tasks such as setting up for events or catering orders.

  • Training & Development: Actively participate in training sessions to improve your skills and knowledge related to food service, hospitality, and customer service. Stay updated on menu changes, promotions, and any other relevant information to ensure you can provide the best possible service to guests.

  • Health & Safety: Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations. Ensure that food is handled correctly, spills are cleaned promptly, and any hazards are reported immediately. Participate in regular health and safety training sessions as required.
