Design and development of electrical systems and equipment according to industry standards and regulations.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of electrical systems into larger mechanical or electronic systems.
Conducting system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical issues.
Preparing technical reports, specifications, and documentation related to projects.
Contributing to research and development activities within the Electrical Engineering department.
Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines.
Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during project execution.

Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Daily Responsibilities
In this role as a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will be part of our dynamic team in the East Midlands region. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at honing your skills and contributing to our ongoing projects:
Project Support: Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for various projects within our industry. This may include power distribution systems, automation, control systems, and more.
Technical Calculations: Perform technical calculations, analysis, and simulations using engineering software and tools to ensure designs meet specified safety, efficiency, and performance standards.
Document Preparation: Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings for project approvals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards. This includes bills of materials (BOM), wiring diagrams, circuit schematics, etc.
Collaborative Work: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, as well as architects and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Testing and Commissioning: Participate in the testing and commissioning phases of projects, troubleshooting any issues that arise during this process.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in electrical engineering through continuous learning, attending workshops, conferences, and professional development courses as necessary.
Quality Assurance: Contribute to quality assurance activities by adhering to our quality management system (QMS), performing inspections, and addressing any non-conformities that may arise.
Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant electrical engineering regulations, standards, and codes in all projects, including BS7671, IEEE, and other industry standards.
Collaboration with Clients: Interact with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical support, and maintain a positive working relationship throughout the project lifecycle.
Problem-Solving: Apply your analytical skills to solve complex problems that may arise during the design, development, or implementation of electrical systems. This includes troubleshooting existing systems and developing innovative solutions for future projects.
