Maintenance Technician | Job in North Yorkshire

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician with a focus on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation & Mechanical (ECI&M) to join our dynamic team based in the vibrant region of Yorkshire and the Humber.

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of machinery and equipment as required.

  • Install, test, and maintain electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems within our facility.

  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to ensure optimal operation of all machinery and equipment.

  • Adhere to safety procedures at all times and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Participate in project work as necessary, including new installations, upgrades, and system modifications.

  • Document all maintenance activities and report any issues or potential improvements to management.

  • Support the continuous improvement of our maintenance program through ongoing training and development.

  • A recognized qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician within an industrial setting, preferably with exposure to ECI&M systems.

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other relevant tools.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and manuals.

  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule as required by the business needs.

  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the Yorkshire and the Humber region as needed.

  • Experience with specific equipment or systems used in our industry would be advantageous.

  • Additional qualifications in areas such as PLC programming, SCADA systems, or process control would also be beneficial.

  • A proactive and innovative mindset with a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
