Manager, OT Security | Job in Carmarthenshire

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Operational Technology (OT) Security to lead our team in Wales. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of OT security principles and practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our organization's OT security strategy, policies, and procedures.

• Develop, implement, and maintain the OT security strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in OT security.

• Lead and manage the OT security team, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to drive performance and growth.

• Collaborate with various departments to identify, assess, and mitigate potential OT security risks.

• Oversee incident response and recovery processes related to OT security incidents.

• Stay abreast of emerging trends, threats, and technologies in the field of OT security.

• Provide regular reports and updates on the status of OT security to senior management.

• Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices across the organization.

• Participate in industry events, conferences, and forums to network and share knowledge.

• Continuously improve the OT security posture by implementing new technologies and processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.

• Proven experience as an OT Security Manager or similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector.

• Strong understanding of OT systems and protocols, including SCADA, DCS, and PLC.

• Expertise in OT security principles, standards, and best practices (e.g., IEC 62443, NERC CIP).

• Cybersecurity Management (Expert): Extensive knowledge and experience in managing cybersecurity operations, specifically for Operational Technology (OT). Proficiency in security frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and ISA-99/IEC 62002.

• Risk Assessment & Mitigation (Advanced): Ability to perform comprehensive risk assessments for OT systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure the security of critical infrastructure.

• Incident Response & Recovery (Proficient): Proven experience in managing incident response and recovery, including containment, eradication, and recovery processes for OT security incidents.

• Network Security Architecture (Intermediate): Familiarity with designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures for OT systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

• Industrial Control Systems (ICS) & SCADA (Proficient): Deep understanding of ICS and SCADA systems, including protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and Profibus. Experience in securing these systems against cyber threats is essential.

• Vulnerability Management (Advanced): Ability to manage vulnerabilities across OT systems, implementing patch management strategies, and performing regular system updates.

• Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) Systems (Intermediate): Familiarity with SIEM systems for centralized log collection and analysis, using them to monitor and detect security incidents in real-time.

• Leadership (Expert): Ability to lead a team of OT security professionals, inspiring and motivating them to achieve organizational goals while fostering a positive work environment.
