We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in West Dunbartonshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems for various projects within our organization.

• Design, develop, test, and implement mechanical systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the mechanical integrity of products and processes.

• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to evaluate the profitability of potential projects.

• Prepare specifications for mechanical equipment and materials, review bids, and negotiate contracts.

• Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering teams to ensure designs are manufactured to specification.

• Perform failure analysis on mechanical components and assemble, test, and adjust mechanical equipment.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.

• Continuously improve the efficiency of existing mechanical systems.

• Provide technical support to less experienced engineers.

• Prepare reports, including cost estimates, project timelines, design specifications, and progress updates.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment design principles.

• Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel when necessary.
