We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in West Dunbartonshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems for various projects within our organization.
Design, develop, test, and implement mechanical systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the mechanical integrity of products and processes.
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to evaluate the profitability of potential projects.
Prepare specifications for mechanical equipment and materials, review bids, and negotiate contracts.
Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering teams to ensure designs are manufactured to specification.
Perform failure analysis on mechanical components and assemble, test, and adjust mechanical equipment.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
Continuously improve the efficiency of existing mechanical systems.
Provide technical support to less experienced engineers.
Prepare reports, including cost estimates, project timelines, design specifications, and progress updates.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment design principles.
Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel when necessary.
