Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

• Collaborate with other engineers and technical staff to develop and implement maintenance strategies that enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including documentation of any identified issues or potential improvements.
• Participate in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment lifespan and reduce overall maintenance costs.
• Assist in the training and development of junior engineers and apprentices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Relevant technical qualifications (HND/ONC/HNC or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• A valid driving license and the ability to travel between sites as required.
