Method Development Scientist | Job in Hampshire

As a Method Development Scientist, you will be joining our dynamic and innovative team based in the South East region, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery and technological advancement. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the development, validation, and optimization of analytical methods for various applications.

  • Design, develop, validate, and optimize novel analytical methods across multiple platforms, including but not limited to liquid chromatography (LC), gas chromatography (GC), mass spectrometry (MS), and other analytical techniques.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, ensure method suitability, and deliver results that meet or exceed project goals.

  • Apply scientific principles and analytical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot method-related issues, develop remediation strategies, and implement improvements.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and developments, proactively incorporating best practices and emerging techniques into your work.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of method development activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.

  • A PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field is essential. Equivalent experience in analytical method development may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

  • Proven expertise in the design and implementation of complex analytical methods across various platforms, with a strong understanding of their principles and applications.

  • Extensive knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., GLP, GCP, GMP) and quality standards is essential. Experience in method validation according to ICH guidelines would be advantageous.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and innovatively when confronted with complex analytical challenges.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate scientific concepts to diverse audiences, including cross-functional team members and project stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

  • A proactive approach to continuous learning and development, with a commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and emerging techniques.
