Paralegal | Job in Derbyshire
For the position of Paralegal - Fraud within our East Midlands-based legal team, we are seeking an outstanding candidate who possesses a strong commitment to upholding justice and diligently tackling complex issues. The successful applicant will join our dynamic and dedicated team in the heart of the East Midlands, contributing to the fight against fraud and financial crime.
Education: A degree in Law (LLB) or a related field is essential. Postgraduate qualification(s) in law, such as a Master's or LPC, would be advantageous but not compulsory.
Experience: Proven experience working within the legal sector, preferably with a focus on fraud and financial crime, is required. Candidates with experience gained from working at a fraud investigations unit, regulatory body, or a related field will be highly regarded.
Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential, as you will be expected to review, analyze, and interpret complex legal documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for liaising effectively with clients, team members, and external parties.
Personal Traits: The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A proactive approach to problem-solving and an adaptable attitude are also essential traits for success in this role.
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of legal documentation related to fraud cases.
Assist solicitors in the preparation of court documents, pleadings, and other case materials.
Liaise with clients, witnesses, and law enforcement agencies to gather evidence and information.
Draft reports and memorandums for senior team members, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
Collaborate with the wider legal team to ensure the efficient progression of cases from investigation through to trial.
