  • Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and commis chefs in their development and growth within the kitchen.

  • Adhere to portion control guidelines to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

*Qualifications: *

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role within a high-end culinary environment.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors.

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role as a Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be a crucial member of our team in one of the leading culinary establishments in Wales. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the following areas:

  • *Menu Development and Execution:
  • Collaborate with senior chefs to create innovative, high-quality dessert and pastry menus that align with our restaurant's style, philosophy, and seasonal influences. Ensure consistent execution of these menu items in daily service.
  • *Pastry Preparation:
  • Oversee the preparation of a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods from simple to complex dishes. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and portion controls.
  • *Inventory Management:
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of pastry ingredients, ensuring that stock levels are always sufficient for daily service while minimizing waste. Order supplies as needed, and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
  • *Team Management:
  • Assist in the supervision of junior kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to help them develop their skills. Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive team atmosphere.
  • *Quality Control:
  • Regularly taste dishes to ensure they meet our high standards for quality, flavor, presentation, and consistency. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • *Compliance:
