Portal Administrator | Job in North Yorkshire
In this role as a Portal Administrator based in Yorkshire and The Humber, your primary responsibilities will involve managing, maintaining, and ensuring the smooth operation of various digital platforms and portals used by our organization. Here is an overview of some of your day-to-day tasks:
User Management: Oversee the addition, modification, and removal of user accounts in the portal system, ensuring that proper security protocols are adhered to at all times. This includes managing roles and permissions for each user based on their access level within the organization.
Data Maintenance: Regularly update and ensure the accuracy of data within the portals. Collaborate with relevant departments across the organization to obtain correct information as needed.
Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support for users encountering issues with the portal system, assisting them in resolving their problems quickly and efficiently. This may involve troubleshooting software or hardware malfunctions, guiding users through processes, or escalating complex issues to higher levels of support as necessary.
Portal Optimization: Collaborate with IT, development teams, and business stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in the portal system. Implement updates, patches, and new features to enhance the user experience and overall functionality of the portals.
Security Compliance: Monitor the portal system for any potential security threats or vulnerabilities. Follow established best practices for cybersecurity and work closely with the IT team to implement safeguards that protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
