Project Engineer | Job in South Lanarkshire
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in South Lanarkshire, within the water industry. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of various water infrastructure projects within South Lanarkshire.
Managing project resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Liaising with internal teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
Conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and preparing reports as required.
Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a strong emphasis on water infrastructure. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the water industry, preferably within project engineering roles.
Proven ability to manage complex projects, from initial design through to construction and commissioning.
Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements for water infrastructure in Scotland.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in using project management software and AutoCAD or similar design software.
A self-starter who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on technical data and project requirements.
