Project Engineer | Job in South Lanarkshire

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in South Lanarkshire, within the water industry. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of various water infrastructure projects within South Lanarkshire.

• Managing project resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

• Liaising with internal teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

• Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.

• Conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and preparing reports as required.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a strong emphasis on water infrastructure. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the water industry, preferably within project engineering roles.

• Proven ability to manage complex projects, from initial design through to construction and commissioning.

• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements for water infrastructure in Scotland.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in using project management software and AutoCAD or similar design software.

• A self-starter who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on technical data and project requirements.
