Registered Manager | Job in Hertfordshire
Registration: Must be registered with the appropriate regulatory body (Care Quality Commission) as a Registered Manager in Adult Social Care.
Minimum Qualification: Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification, or be willing to work towards achieving this qualification within a specified timeframe.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager in an Adult Social Care setting. Proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire a team is essential.
Knowledge of Legislation & Regulations: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005) and regulatory requirements, including CQC essential standards.
Health & Safety: Ability to manage risk effectively, maintain a safe environment for service users and staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
Leadership & Management: Demonstrable leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and manage a team, delegate tasks appropriately, and provide support and guidance when needed.
Decision Making: Ability to make sound decisions in a variety of situations, taking into account legal, ethical, and professional considerations.
Empathy & Compassion: A genuine commitment to providing the highest quality of care to service users, demonstrating empathy, kindness, and understanding at all times.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software for record keeping and report generation. Familiarity with electronic care planning systems is desirable.
Email & Internet: Ability to effectively use email and the internet for communication, research, and accessing relevant resources.
Resilience: The ability to cope with pressure, manage stress effectively, and remain resilient in challenging situations.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the service and its users, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
