Title: Regulatory Investigations Advisor - Technical and Data

Location: East of England

We are seeking a highly-skilled Regulatory Investigations Advisor with a strong background in technical and data analysis to join our team based in the East of England. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements by investigating complex issues, analyzing data, and providing expert advice to our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed investigations into regulatory matters, gathering evidence and interpreting findings according to established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with various departments across the organization to ensure a coordinated approach to regulatory compliance.
• Utilize technical and data analysis skills to analyze large volumes of data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing investigations findings and make presentations to senior management as needed.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations relevant to the business and ensure that these changes are effectively communicated throughout the organization.
• Work closely with external regulatory bodies, maintaining strong relationships and providing them with accurate and timely information regarding investigations and compliance efforts.
• Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance our regulatory compliance capabilities.

Qualifications:

• A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Business, Information Technology) and significant experience in regulatory investigations, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings effectively to various audiences.

• Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Law. Postgraduate qualifications in these areas or a related field would be advantageous.

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) working within regulatory investigations, preferably in the financial services, technology, or energy sectors.

• Familiarity with data protection regulations and principles, such as GDPR, and experience applying these in investigative settings.

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to sift through complex data sets, identify trends, and draw conclusions.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to spot potential issues before they become problems.
