Retail Deputy Manager | Job in Bedfordshire

The East of England branch of our esteemed retail organization is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Deputy Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

*Responsibilities: *

  • Assist the Store Manager in managing all aspects of store operations, ensuring efficient and profitable day-to-day running of the store.
  • Lead and motivate a team, providing training and guidance to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain high visual merchandising standards across the store, optimizing product placement and layout for maximum sales potential.
  • Manage stock control, including receiving, processing, and managing stock movements in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records of store stock levels.
  • Implement and oversee loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement store marketing plans, promotions, and events.
  • Handle financial transactions accurately, including cash handling, banking, and reconciliation of daily sales reports.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Stay informed about competitor activities, industry trends, and market conditions to ensure our store maintains a competitive edge.

*Qualifications: *

  • Proven experience in a Retail Deputy Manager or similar supervisory role within retail.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and customer service best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial management, including cash handling, banking, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required by business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on building positive relationships with customers and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks effectively.
