Title: Self Checker

The Self Checker is a crucial member of our team who plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our retail store. This role requires a dedicated, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a keen eye for accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate self-checkout machines effectively and efficiently to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Assist customers who may require guidance in using the self-checkout system.
  • Handle any issues or technical difficulties with the self-checkout machines, reporting them to the relevant personnel for resolution.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the self-checkout area and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Contribute to a positive store environment by providing excellent customer service, ensuring shelves are stocked and the store is tidy.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and maintain high levels of productivity.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or their designated representative.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a retail environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
