*Role: Senior Accountant - Hybrid Working *

In this key role, you will play a crucial part in managing our financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the accurate preparation and reporting of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing valuable insights to inform strategic decision-making. *Responsibilities *

• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the finance team to complete month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently and accurately.
• Provide expert advice on accounting matters, both internally and externally, as needed.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
• Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance to ensure their professional growth.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations impacting our business operations.
• Liaise with internal departments and external auditors as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

*Requirements *

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. A Master's degree or professional accounting designation (ACA, CPA, etc.) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accountant role, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS, as well as UK tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of advanced Excel functions is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts clearly and concisely.
• Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring junior staff members.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
