*Key Responsibilities: *
- Preparing architectural designs, plans, and specifications using CAD software and manual drafting tools.
- Collaborating with the architectural team to develop project concepts, prepare design development documents, and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and client requirements.
- Coordinating with consultants, engineers, and contractors throughout all stages of the project lifecycle to ensure seamless integration of various disciplines.
- Preparing and submitting planning applications, building warrant applications, and other documentation as required by relevant authorities.
- Conducting site surveys, site inspections, and preparing detailed reports on findings.
- Assisting in the preparation of fee proposals, project schedules, and budget estimates for new projects.
- Providing guidance and support to junior technicians and technologists within the team.
- Staying current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge designs and solutions.
*Qualifications: *
- A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Architectural Technology, Building Studies, or a related field, coupled with substantial experience in an architectural practice.
- Proven proficiency in using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- A thorough understanding of UK building regulations, codes, and standards, as well as an appreciation for sustainable design principles.
- Membership or eligibility for membership in a relevant professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) or the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
- A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Master's degree is preferred but not required.
Chartered Membership with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) or an equivalent professional body.
Registration as an Architectural Technologist with the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and other BIM software for architectural design, drafting, and documentation.
Experience with 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization tools such as V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape.
Strong understanding of building regulations, codes, and standards in the UK, particularly those applicable in Yorkshire and The Humber region.
Expertise in preparing construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Knowledge of sustainability principles and green architectural practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Strong leadership and team management abilities to lead project teams and coordinate work efficiently.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle complex architectural challenges.
Attention to detail and high standards of quality in all aspects of work.
Flexibility and adaptability to manage competing priorities and changing project requirements.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Architectural Technician/Technologist in the UK, preferably within architectural practices in Yorkshire and The Humber region.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects from inception to completion.
Experience working on a range of project types, including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.
Knowledge of BIM Level 2 processes and experience implementing these within an architectural practice.
