Responsibilities:

  • Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately and promptly.
  • Pick and pack orders efficiently and accurately for timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits, updating inventory records as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure accurate ordering of stock items.
  • Respond swiftly to any stock-related inquiries from customers or other departments.
  • Implement and maintain effective stock control measures to minimize wastage and loss.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to facilitate the smooth running of operations, including coordinating the movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries as required.
  • Maintain detailed records of stock movements and maintain an up-to-date inventory database.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in the warehouse, implementing new processes where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Stores Person / Stock Controller role, preferably within a retail or distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of stock control principles and best practices.
