• Provide expert medical leadership for the management of acute stroke patients, including prompt recognition, assessment, and implementation of evidence-based treatments.

• Collaborate closely with the stroke team, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care between inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of stroke service improvement initiatives, in line with national guidelines and best practices.

• Participate in stroke audits, research projects, and educational activities, aiming to advance our understanding of stroke care and promote learning opportunities for junior doctors and allied healthcare professionals.

• Provide advice and support to other medical staff, ensuring a consistent approach to stroke management across the organization.

• MRCP or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

• Experience in Stroke Medicine, ideally within an acute setting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• A commitment to continued professional development, with a focus on staying abreast of new stroke care guidelines and research findings.

• Registration with the GMC (General Medical Council) is essential.
