Implementing effective traffic management plans, considering various factors such as road conditions, weather, and event specifics.
Setting up, operating, and maintaining traffic management equipment such as signs, barriers, and temporary traffic signals.
Liaising with relevant authorities, stakeholders, and the public to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety during events or road works.
Ensuring compliance with all traffic management legislation, regulations, and company policies.
Conducting regular inspections of traffic management equipment and making necessary adjustments as required.
Providing guidance and support to junior team members when needed.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Proven experience as a Traffic Management Operative or similar role.
Necessary qualifications in accordance with the General Regulations for Temporary Traffic Management (GRA).
Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic management practices.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with authorities, stakeholders, and the public.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, as required by the nature of the role.
Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods of time.
Full UK driving license is essential.
Familiarity with relevant traffic management software is desirable.
