The Transport Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management and coordination of our transport operations, working closely with our drivers, dispatchers, and other relevant stakeholders. Managing the day-to-day administrative tasks associated with transport operations, including creating and updating delivery schedules, preparing necessary documents, and maintaining accurate records.
Liaising with drivers and dispatchers to ensure efficient communication and coordination of transportation activities.
Monitoring the status of shipments in real-time and promptly addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
Collaborating with other departments as needed to facilitate the smooth movement of goods from our warehouses to customers' locations.
Assisting in the resolution of customer complaints related to delivery times or issues.
Complying with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding transport operations.
Continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the transport department.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A good understanding of transport regulations and best practices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically when faced with challenges.
Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours as required by the nature of the job.
