Vehicle Technician / Mechanic | Job in Lancashire

Additionally, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and equipment.

  • Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and according to manufacturer specifications. Regularly inspect completed repairs to confirm proper functioning and make any necessary adjustments as needed.
  • *Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers about the status of their vehicles, addressing concerns promptly and professionally, and ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
  • *Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle repairs, maintenance services, and parts used during service calls, ensuring that all documentation is complete, legible, and up-to-date according to company policies and industry regulations.
  • *Continuous Learning:
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in the automotive industry by attending training sessions, seminars, and workshops as needed. Adapt quickly to new vehicle models, tools, and equipment to effectively diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicles.
  • *Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure the safety and efficiency of the workshop environment by adhering to all company policies and industry regulations regarding safety practices, waste disposal, and environmental compliance.
  • *Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other technicians, service advisors, and support staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the workshop. Assist colleagues when needed and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • *Inspections and Certifications:
  • Perform pre-purchase inspections on vehicles as requested by management, ensuring thoroughness in identifying any potential issues or areas requiring repair. Maintain certifications in relevant automotive fields, including ASE, where applicable.

  • Extensive knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, etc.)
