  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order.

  • Liaising with customers when necessary, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Reporting any issues or accidents promptly, following the company's incident reporting procedures.
  • Ensuring vehicles are fueled efficiently, minimizing wastage and reducing costs.

*Requirements: *

  • A valid LGV driver's license with no more than six penalty points.
  • Proven experience as an LGV Driver, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Excellent understanding of road safety and traffic laws.

*Morning Preparation (Approximately 06:30 - 07:00) *

  • Arrive at our designated depot for your shift.
  • Complete necessary pre-start checks on the LGV vehicle assigned to you, ensuring it is roadworthy and compliant with all safety regulations.
  • Fuel up the vehicle as required.
  • Plan your route for the day using navigation systems or paper maps, taking into account factors such as traffic, weather, and delivery deadlines.

*On the Road (Approximately 07:00 - 16:30) *

  • Depart from the depot and commence your deliveries according to the planned route.
  • Safely maneuver your LGV vehicle through London's busy streets, adhering strictly to traffic rules and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods from the vehicle at various delivery locations, ensuring that all packages are handled correctly and delivered to the correct recipients.
  • Maintain regular communication with our Operations team regarding any issues or delays encountered during your route.

*Afternoon Preparation (Approximately 16:30 - 17:00) *

  • Complete any remaining deliveries from your route.
  • Return to the depot and complete post-drive checks on the LGV vehicle, documenting any issues or damage for maintenance purposes.
  • Handover any paperwork related to your deliveries to the appropriate team member.
  • Prepare the vehicle for the next day's use, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

*After Work (Approximately 17:00 - 17:30) *

  • Debrief with your team lead or supervisor on any issues encountered during the day and discuss any improvements for future routes.
