Role Description

This role is pivotal in connecting healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and our organization to advance our mission in diagnosing, treating, and ultimately eradicating rare diseases.

  • Collaborate with key opinion leaders, HCPs, patient advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to deepen understanding of the disease landscape, current treatment paradigms, and unmet medical needs in rare diseases.
  • Provide scientific and clinical expertise to HCPs, educating them about our organization's products and their role in managing patients with rare diseases.
  • Act as a liaison between the medical affairs department, marketing, sales, and other internal teams to ensure alignment on key strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze scientific data, literature, and regulatory updates related to rare diseases and our organization's products, ensuring timely dissemination of information to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of medical education materials, such as slidesets, case studies, and journal articles, to support HCP education and patient care.

  • PhD or MD degree with a strong foundation in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., genetics, immunology, neurology, etc.).
  • Proven experience as a Medical Science Liaison or a related role within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with a focus on rare diseases.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex scientific and medical concepts to various audiences, both written and verbally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
