  • *Stakeholder Management
  • : Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers. Ensure clear communication and effective collaboration to ensure project objectives are met.
  • *Project Execution
  • : Oversee all aspects of the fit-out projects from start to finish, ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently, safely, and within specified budget constraints. This includes managing on-site construction teams, coordinating subcontractors, and liaising with suppliers.
  • *Quality Assurance and Control
  • : Conduct regular inspections of the worksite to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health and safety regulations. Address any deviations promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • *Financial Management
  • : Monitor project budgets, analyzing spending patterns and making adjustments where required to ensure financial efficiency. Prepare and submit regular financial reports for senior management and clients.
  • *Risk Management
  • : Identify potential risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Regularly review these risks and adapt strategies as necessary in response to changes in the project environment.
  • *Reporting

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered)
  • Proven project management experience in the fit-out industry, preferably within commercial real estate sector in Wales
  • Professional Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, etc.) is desirable but not essential
  • Chartered Member status or working towards chartered status with a recognized professional body such as RICS, CIOB, or similar is beneficial
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities to effectively manage our fit-out projects and lead our team members
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and adhere to budget constraints
  • Proven problem-solving skills, able to identify risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Proficient in using project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or Aconex (or similar)
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and able to implement effective site safety measures to ensure a safe working environment for our team and contractors
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required, and when necessary to accommodate client needs
  • Knowledge of the construction industry in Wales, including local legislation, regulations, and market trends, is desirable but not essential
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development, staying up-to-date with advancements in project management methodologies, tools, and technologies

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the fit-out sector (minimum 5 years).
  • Extensive knowledge of fit-out project management principles and practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess project risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Professional membership of a relevant industry body (desirable).
