Quality Engineer | Job in North Lanarkshire

Role Overview: Quality Engineer In our dynamic organization we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join our dedicated team.   • Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure consistency in product performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough analysis on customer feedback, production data, and test results to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with the design, manufacturing, and testing teams to implement quality improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in process audits, document reviews, and root cause analysis to maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Implement and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to track progress towards quality goals and objectives.
  • Develop, update, and maintain quality manuals, procedures, and training materials as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison with external regulatory bodies, conducting audits and addressing any non-conformities in a timely manner.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Quality Management), or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems such as ISO 9001, TS/ISO 16949, or AS9100 is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards.
