Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on all aspects of housing management, including tenancy agreements, rent arrears, anti-social behavior, and property repairs and maintenance.
  • Draft and negotiate lease and tenancy agreements, licences for alterations, and other related documents.
  • Represent the organization in court as necessary, handling evictions, possession orders, and any other housing-related legal matters.
  • Provide training and support to the wider team on housing law and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of changes in housing legislation and case law, ensuring our organization's policies and procedures remain up-to-date and compliant.
  • Liaise with external agencies such as local authorities, housing associations, and other stakeholders to resolve disputes and maintain positive relationships. Qualifications:
  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in Housing Management law.
  • Excellent understanding of housing legislation, including the Housing Act 1985, the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, and the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990.
  • Strong drafting skills and ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package for the role of Solicitor (Housing Management) commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary range is between £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on relevant experience.
