Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Swimming Instructor to join our diverse community of self-employed professionals in London. • Collaborate with parents, guardians, or caretakers to assess students' progress and develop tailored lesson plans to address individual needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements, as well as any necessary administration tasks related to the provision of swimming lessons.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including maintaining a clean and tidy work environment at the chosen swimming venue(s).
• Continuously expand your knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development in swimming instruction methodologies, water safety techniques, and first aid procedures.
• Build positive relationships with students, their families, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning community. Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Swimming Instructor or similar role.
• Swimming Teachers' Association (STA) or Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) teaching qualifications at Level 2 or above.
• A strong understanding of swimming strokes, water safety principles, and first aid procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, engaging manner.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others learn and improve their swimming skills.
• A flexible schedule to accommodate lessons during school hours, evenings, and weekends.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own administrative tasks effectively.
